A leader constantly strives to improve the program

Planning is an outstanding way to institute techniques to improve a program. Improvement, however, should not be limited to regularly scheduled planning sessions. Good ideas should be recognized and implemented as soon as possible after they surface. If they are all saved for the formal planning sessions, some may get lost behind others of higher priority or more “sex” appeal. Use the formal sessions to generate, identify, and develop completely new ideas.
