Leaders discover the theme
16. September 2009
At the beginning what leaders have is a theme. They have concerns, desires, questions, propositions, arguments, hopes, dreams, and aspirations – core concepts around which they organize their aspirations and actions. Leaders begin the process of Envisioning the Future by discovering their own themes. Everything else leaders say about their vision is an elaboration, interpretation, and variation on that theme.
